PADI Tec 40 is the first certification in the PADI Tec Deep Diver course and covers the first four dives in the full PADI Tec Deep Diver program. Here at Davy Jones Tech we will spend 4 days diving on Koh Tao, were you will fine-tune your skills, such as trim and precision buoyancy using a twinset and full tech rig. During the Tec 40 course, here on Koh Tao you will use decompression software and dive computers to plan and make decompression dives with 10 minutes of decompression down to 40 metres. You will add stages to your dives with a single cylinder of decompression gas with up to 50 percent oxygen (EANx50) to explore some of Koh Tao's deeper dive sites here in teh Gulf of Thailand
The course includes all PADI Tec training material, the Tec Deep Diver Crew-Pack, which covers you for the PADI Tec 40, Tec 45 and Tec 50 while introducing you to:
- tec diving lingo
- emergency procedures
- decompression and stage cylinder handling
- gas planning
The training material includes a manual, dive planning checklist and dive planning slate. The Tec 40 Knowledge reviews and handouts can be email to you when you sign up for the course so you can started on the Tec 40 course right away.
Prerequisites
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- PADI Enriched Air Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
- PADI Deep Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization) or have experience in deep diving
- Have a minimum of 30 logged dives, of which at least 10 dives were made with enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 metres / 60 feet.
